Glass wool blanket has a wide range of application scenarios, the following are some common ones:
1. Construction field: used for thermal insulation of building walls and roofs, which can effectively reduce energy consumption and improve indoor comfort; it can also be used for architectural acoustic treatment to reduce indoor noise.
2. Industrial field: in factory workshops, boiler rooms, pipelines and other places, it plays a good role in insulation and sound insulation, and improves the working environment.
3. HVAC system: installed in air ducts, water pipes and other parts of the air conditioner to ensure the efficient operation of the system and reduce energy loss.
4. Refrigerated warehouse: helps maintain a low temperature environment and reduce the loss of cold.
5. Transportation: such as cars, trains, ships, etc., it has a sound insulation and heat insulation effect to improve the riding experience.
6. Concert halls and theaters: improve the acoustic environment and enhance the sound effect.
7. Clean room: provides insulation and certain sound insulation functions for special environments.
8. Roof: can be used as a bottom insulation material to protect the roof structure.
The production process of glass wool blanket usually includes the following steps:
1. Making glass: The raw materials are weighed and mixed, melted in a melting furnace, and then subjected to wire drawing to obtain glass fiber raw yarn;
2. Chopped fiber: The glass fiber raw yarn is evenly divided into strands, and the continuous yarn bundle enters the short cut machine and is chopped by the equipment;
3. Distributing fibers: After the chopped glass fiber short yarn enters the sedimentation chamber, it is evenly distributed by suction gravity and falls on the conveyor mesh belt;
4. Applying adhesive: The chopped raw yarn is evenly distributed on the mesh belt without orientation, and an adhesive is applied to it, including two methods: powdering (powder adhesive) or sizing (emulsion adhesive);
5. Drying and curing: After being heated and dehumidified in an oven, the fiber and the adhesive are completely combined, and then conveyed out of the drying chamber. After being heated and cured, the felt is ensured to have the designed tensile strength;
6. Trimming process: The main purpose of trimming process is to remove the feather edges on both sides of glass wool felt. When the felt roll reaches the set length, the equipment will start the emergency signal reminder and cut the felt cross-section;
7. Inspection and packaging: Check whether the felt roll has defects. If it meets the quality standard, it can be rolled and packaged. After rolling, it is wrapped with polyethylene plastic larger than the felt roll.
